News About the Author and Upcoming Works

 Lisa recently completed a writing project for the Maya Angelou Center.   She is writing a new non-fiction book designed for women wanting to conquer the "tigers" in their life.  Lisa will speak about nutrition and lead a prayer walk at the Women's Prayer and Evangelism Conference 9/09 at Ridgecrest Conference Center sponsored by North Carolina Baptist State Convention.  She served on the Task Force which made recommendations for the new women's ministry "EMBRACE" launched by the North Carolina Baptist State Convention in 2008. In October, 2008 Lisa received a D. T. Smithwick Newspaper & Magazine Article Award for her newspaper article, "Indian Church Association is Influential". In January, 2009 Lisa was named a Distinguished Fellow by the American Academy of Physician Assistants. The Pink Begonia Sister's Caribbean Retreat can be ordered from Barnes and Noble online.
